Man this weekend was jam packed ... I didn't have anytime to blog at all! Friday night was the fathers and sons camp out for our ward. Todd took both boys this year which was FABULOUS. I made Todd a nice healthy foil dinner with turkey burger and veggies and sent some hot dogs and marshmallows for the boys (not so healthy...oh well). They had a good time, but it was very cold and none of them got any sleep.
Our girls night was super fun and my little ladies have some adorable hair bows now. Thank goodness that I have so many friends with mad craft skills. My speciality was hot gluing the ribbons on the clips in preparation for the bows or flowers. It was so much fun and I tried really hard to limit the amount of super yummy treats I consumed (don't worry Traci's recipe is coming soon).
Saturday morning I got out on my bike and we rode up to Southfork. It was my first ride since last November and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Which is probably why I ate a bug on my way down the canyon! I was so much fun riding with the ladies and I still have a few more months of beautiful fall weather here. I love my bike and I love that I have such a great group of friends to ride with.
Then on Sunday it was my week to teach and Todd was set apart as Ward Clerk. So he has 6 hours of meetings to look forward every Sunday morning from now on. I'm not sure which will be harder for me: getting Todd out of bed before 7:00 am or getting all the kids ready and to church on time by myself.
When we were leaving church the minivan battery was dead so we decided to walk home. It was beautiful outside. The kids were hilarious. They kept saying we didn't know how to get home and that we would NEVER make it home. Silly kids. So today I got to go get a new battery. Ugh!
I promise that I will set aside more time to blog properly....pictures and everything!

I had such a fun time on Friday night- and now my girls have some cute hair bows too! I am also anxiously awaiting the post of Traci's yummy treats recipe. As for getting all the kids ready by yourself- welcome to the club! At least we have 1:00 church for now. And Todd is lucky for only 6 hours of meetings- Jeff is gone for 10-11hours every Sunday. Life as a church widow- at least we can have their help during sacrament meetings!!
Oh, Sundays kill me. Adam leaves at 6:30 for his meetings. and comes home about 3pm. And then he's off at 6 to do visits. No fun!
It's no fun when your husband is gone all week, and THEN on Sundays too. One piece of advice from one Sunday widow to another: always get everything ready and laid out on Saturday night--clothes (ironed), diaper bag, church bag, etc. It makes things SO much easier to get out the door on time.
