Provo Cheer

Claire got to do Provo High's junior cheer this year.  They had a few practices then got to perform at the high school during half-time at the basketball game.  She was so excited and had so much fun.  

Luke's Snowman

Luke loves to play in the snow.  He spent all day after school building a snowman on his own and was so sad when I made him come in for dinner.  We made sure to go back out and snap a pic to send to dad though.

Rats Nest

Every single morning this is how her hair looks when she gets up.  Rather than sleep like a normal person she likes to hide inside of her duvet cover (so the bad guys won't find her) and wakes up with this!  It takes a lot of detangler and brushing and a few tears.  We have started something new now and she sleeps with her hair in a braid - it seems to help a lot she doesn't love that her hair is wavy but she does it so that we don't spend 10 minutes brushing.

100th Day of School

 Claire's Portuguese class had a 100 day party that I got to go to. It was fun to see her in her class and hear her count to 100 in Portuguese.  She got to eat pizza, have rootbeer floats and make a fun sock puppet too.  We are really liking the Immersion program so far.

Sophie's Trip to Vegas

 Mark got a new job in Las Vegas so my parents went down to help him move.  They invited Sophie along for the ride.  So my sweet little 4 year old packed her bags and went to stay with Danny and Emily for a week.  She was sooooo excited to go to Ella's house and couldn't stop talking about it.  Those 2 girls are so cute together and get into plenty of trouble when they are together. 

I'm not sure where their shirts are - ha ha.

Shoveling the driveway

Luke was so cute shoveling our driveway.  He worked so hard and did a great job.  Then I told both boys they should go across the street and suprise our new neighbors by shoveling theirs.  They were both so willing to go help and boy did it make me smile!

Goodbye Sunshine

Our plan was to go to Universal Studios on our last day in Orlando but on our way there we decided to have an easy day instead.  So we went to the outlet malls (I spent way too much at the LuLu and Nike outlets) then to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner then we went to a movie. It was such a nice and relaxing day.

Back at the hotel we sat on our porch ate our cheesecake and watched the light show.  What a perfect ending to our last day.  

Then I came home to this!

Disney's Magic Kingdom

Once the work was done Saturday we had the night to go play at Disneyworld.  It was so much fun.  Todd went the whole day and then me and some friends from work met him at 4:00. Disney is totally different when you don't have kids with you.  We scheduled our time and hit the park.  We managed to go on 7 rides and watch the parade.  It was perfect.

Todd was so excited to see the Main Street Electric Parade - he hadn't seen it since he was a kid.  

Orlando

Off I go again - to Orlando for kick-off meetings.  I started and finished a new book (The Silent Governess).

Did some outside running with Mickey - this short trail nearly killed me off when I had to run 7 miles.  I looped and looped and looped some more.  I even added in some extra miles by running through the parking lot.

 We took a midnight trip to Steak-n-Shake for Celina's birthday.

 This time presenting on stage was a lot easier and Todd was there to watch.  When I walked out on stage I heard a whistle and couldn't believe he would do that - then after he told me it wasn't him.  Ha ha. 

Todd met me for the weekend instead of flying home so we got to spend our date night at Downtown Disney.  Eating delicious sundaes from Girhadelli's. 

 

I did my first Zumba class - we had to represent in our Nu Skin workout gear.  I'm not sure my body was made to shake like that.

The Circus

Oh how we love circus night.  My dad got all of us tickets.  My dad and I packed up the kids and went early to save seats for 24 people.  Then the girls got to ride the camel - they loved it.  The circus stepped it up this year and had some sweet new acts - like the BMX guy and the magician.  I love going to the circus with the family.  It's so cheesy and crazy and fun. Kami even got called down to be part of the clown act - she had to play a musical instrument - bang a plate with a hammer until it broke.  It was classic. 

 

Luke's Book Report

This kid loves school.  He decided to do his first book report (non-fiction) on Abe Lincoln.  He read the entire book then did his book report by himself.  He did a great job and had it done and turned in 4 days early.

President's Day

No work and no school means it's time for cousins to spend the night and have a late night party.  The boys played computer and the girls ate popcorn and watched a movie.  It was so nice spending time doing nothing but hang out with the kiddos right after a long weekend working.

This year for kick-off meetings I had to present on a new mobile app we are creating.  I was a little stressed about presenting but even more stressed about my outfit. So I went online and bought 2 dresses and 2 pair of shoes then ended up shipping them to Uncle Milo and Aunt Gale's house in California on accident.  Nothing like giving myself a heart attack 2 days before I left.  So I packed up the kids and Timmy and Megan went shopping with me.  Luckily, after trying on about 50 different outfits I found the perfect one.
