Talk about awkward.  I had to be filmed for a work video about a new back office tool we are launching soon.  I hate my hearing my voice recorded and felt so silly getting filmed.  But it ended up great and I'm sure my team will find some good use of all the bloopers I made.

Tayson started reading Ender's Game.  One of my all-time favorite books.  

Sophie got herself ready all by herself. Ruffle dress, cheetah headband, fur coat and plastic shoes.  When I dropped her off her teacher said "well maybe those shoes will slow her down a little".  I'm sure they didn't slow her down though.  She is amazing at running in cheap plastic heels.

 The day I hit rock bottom with my pride from riding in the fancy golf cart at work.  We have to park 1/3 mile away from the building right now during construction and it was raining so I decided to just hop in and get a ride.

It's a guy thing

I feel like I am officially a real mom now.  I got to attend 5th grade maturation with Tayson.  Poor Tays had to have his mom there instead of his dad and I was impressed with the fact that it didn't bother him at all.  He loves talking about puberty and seems a little too excited for it.  He is always checking his arm pits for hairs.  He has about 3 long light colored hairs in each pit and man is he happy about that :)

March 14

Officially PI day - so we enjoyed ourselves some banana cream pie.  The kids loved it!

The Book Report

Luke was a total procrastinator with this month's book report.  He had to do his report on a science fiction book.  He picked one out but then kept reading other books instead.  So the day before it was due he still had 100 pages to read.  He read for hours and couldn't play or do anything else.  Then at 10:00 pm we were putting together his poster board game for the next day.  I'd love to think he learned his lesson on procrastination .... but I have a feeling we will be doing this a lot over the next 10 years.

Road Trip

The trip down to Cali for the birthday was a quick one.  Tayson has perfect attendance in school and really didn't want to miss a day.  So Friday after school we got in the car and drove straight through.  

We stopped in Vegas for dinner and met Emily, the kids, Mark, Kayla and Hyrum for dinner.

Then drove all the way through - we got there around 10 pm with 4 sound asleep kids.

Todd flew back to Jackson from Cali so the kids and I got up early Sunday morning and piled in the car to drive back.  We made pretty good time and only stopped twice on the way home.  Thank goodness my kids are great in the car....if only Tayson could drive :)

Happy 90th Birthday

Great-grandma Pearson is 90 years old!!  Talk about a great reason to celebrate.  There is no way we were going to miss this party or the chance to celebrate such an amazing life.  The party was a blast and it is always so fun to spend time with family.  Even if it's only for a day.

Tayson

Dude...pull your tooth out already.  It's totally dead and loose and just hanging there by a thread.  It took 2 more weeks before this tooth came out.  

With David in the bishopric he is gone at mutual every Wed night.  So Tayson and Luke alternate going over to play with or read to the big boys while Kami puts Clark to bed.  Kami sent me this picture of Tays playing with them.  I love seeing him make good choices and doing service.  I know how good it is for him to think of others and I love seeing him spend time with his cousins.

Sing Along

These girls LOVE Taylor Swift and they really love using water bottles as microphones and singing at the top of their lungs in the car.  And we always like a good dance party at stop lights.
