Worst Smell Ever!

While we were up seeing the lights Claire kept complaining about her tummy hurting.  She made it home at least then a few hours after bed she threw up everywhere.  It was so gross and then to cover up the smell Todd grabbed this scent.  It was soooooooo disgusting combined together.  Truly one of the worst smells ever!!!

Advent Day 7

Today's advent was to go see Christmas lights.  Since it was a Friday night we decided to go big and head up to Temple Square.  I haven't seen the lights there since Tayson was a baby.  It was such a fun night.  We went up to the Gateway mall and had dinner then jumped on Trax to get to the Temple.  The lights were beautiful and luckily it wasn't super cold. After the lights we got some hot chocolate from a street vendor and headed home.  It was such a fun night.

Crazy Hair Day

Luke got to combine crazy hair day with pajama day - a perfect day for this kid!

Claire was NOT happy at all about crazy hair day.  She was mad when I was fixing it and mad when I was trying to take pictures.  She wanted nothing to do with this silly thing.  But I'm still happy with how cute she looked with crazy hair.  :)

Advent Day 6

Make treats and visit a neighbor.   We decided to visit a neighbor we haven't met yet to make it even more fun.  The new school superintendent lives right behind us so we went there.  Tayson was so nervous about going to his "vice-principals vice-principals" house.  "You know my principal's boss, he can suspend me".  Ha.  I told him that he was the superintendent and that I'm sure he wouldn't get suspended for taking treats to his house.  He said "they better be good treats mom or I'll get in trouble".  Silly boy.  Well the big guy wasn't home and we just chatted with his wife for a few minutes and luckily she loved the treats so Tayson can stay in school.  It was a close call.

Christmas Advent Calendar

I've never done an advent before so when Ginger said this was our Thanksgiving craft I was very excited. I didn't end up doing mine with the girls because of how sick my prescription made me - but I did end up getting it done on Dec. 1st.  I got lots of great ideas for things to do from Laurie and Traci and added a few from pinterest too.  I love the idea of doing something everyday focused on Christmas.  Most of the things are small easy things to do.  The kids are having so much fun taking turns reading our daily activity.  When I was putting the activities in I was very careful to do the big fun ones when Todd is home :)

O Christmas Tree

When Todd was getting his haircut last month he heard about a tree farm where you could pick and cut down your own tree.  So we decided to try it out this year.  Obviously the kids dressed the part - I mean shorts and flip flops just scream Christmas tree.  Ha.  When we got there they gave us a stick so we would know what height to get our tree.  It's a good thing too because the trees look much smaller outside than when you get them home.

We had to do a little trimming when we got home so that it would fit inside and we trimmed up a few branches to even everything out.  The tree is so much bigger than any other tree we've ever bought - and since it's so fresh the needles hurt.  We had to wear gloves and I ended up with a big cut on one finger.  So worth it - the tree is awesome!!

Todd finishing it off with tinsel - the only problem is that because this tree is twice the size of our other ones we ran out and had to buy way more :)
