The Garden - the end

We finally picked the rest of the veggies and cleaned out the plants to get ready for the winter.  For our first year of gardening I think it went well.

Family Scripture Time

I have been having a hard time getting the kids to read the scriptures at night.  They just want me to read every night so we came up with a new plan.  I wrote the different options on popsicle sticks and each night one of them chooses then we do that.  It has cut down a lot on complaints and helps make scripture study more fun. 

Pool Time

There were no hotel rooms in St. George so we headed to Mesquite for the rest of the weekend.  The pool at the hotel was perfect and the kids loved every minute of it.  I pretty much sat on the side doing as little as possible.  It was so much fun for the kids to play with their cousins.  Of course the dad's got in on the fun too.  I love how much fun Todd has playing with the kids.

Bowling in Mequite

Once the pool was closed it was time to find something else to do in Mesquite - not much to do in this town except gamble.  But we found a bowling alley at one of the other casinos and headed over with the kids.  They loved it! One lane was the boys, another the girls and on the last lane Todd, Todd M and Amy bowled.  I was entirely too exhausted to do anything but just watch them while cruising around in my compression sleeves.  I have a lot of fashion sense right after races.

Eggs

Tonight for dinner I let the kids pick anything they wanted.  Sophie wanted eggs cooked in the special pan.  I hate cooking eggs in this pan.  It is tiny and hard to scramble eggs in.  This pan came from one of Todd's trips to the grocery store for me.  I love it when he comes home with random stuff - like this egg pan.
