End of Year Minecraft Party

Tayson and Luke wanted to throw an end of year party.  They chose a minecraft LAN party.  Todd was responsible for getting all the computers set up and ready for the boys and I was in charge of themed treats.  They boys had a blast and now they can't wait until their next party.  

MineCon

Today was the live broadcast of MineCon - some Minecraft convention.  Todd turned it on the computer for the boys to watch it live.  It's hilarious to me that they care about the announcements being made about their computer game more than playing it right now.  They are so like their daddy!

Flashback Friday

Here is what I LOVE about this picture:

How do you spell....

This morning while I was finishing getting ready for work Luke was in playing nickjr.com on the computer (Claire and Chelsea were both in there too). The game Luke was playing had him type in his name so I heard him spell L-U-K-E while he typed and then I heard the following conversation:

Chelsea: what does that spell?
Luke: bubba
Chelsea: No bubba starts with a buh sound what does L-U-K-E spell?
Luke: It's MY name. It says bubba

Apparently giving him a nickname and calling him it all the time wasn't such a great idea. He can spell and write his name but he thinks it says bubba. He is really going to struggle with reading and phonetics!!! Oh well, it's too late now and really bubba just fits the kid. None of our other kids have nicknames but that one just worked for him. I'm not sure if Claire knows his name is Luke.

A side note: I am hating yummy smelling candles right now! They make me so hungry and I am not supposed to have treats....especially right before bed. UGH!

Todd and Folak

This is Todd's best friend "Folak" he is a troll who trained as a holy priest then later as a shadow priest (apparently one heals more and one does more damage) in the world of Azeroth. Todd spent endless nights with his friend and even had a group of friends (some were even real-life - although they didn't use their real names) who created a guild called the Midnight Mauraders.

Recently Todd made the decision to leave World of Warcraft and pursue other adventures - like more work and family. This isn't an easy decision for anyone who has ever been to the world of Azeroth so to truly cut the ties he sold Folak. I can't say I'm extremely upset because all that hard work and love brought in a good $250. Of course this is still much less than was spent over the years on the monthly fees, buying gold, paying for other characters, etc..... But at least it really is goodbye.
