Picture Day
I might be a little too relaxed when it comes to school pictures. I let the kids pick whatever they want to wear (Tayson even has on the same shirt he wore last year....didn't realize that until after school). One of my favorite things about school pictures is that they can be so funny. The kids all ended up looking good in their pictures this year. I can't believe all 4 kids are in the same school right now and I can't believe how old they are getting!!

School Picture Day
Today was school picture day. I love putting new pictures on my wall at home and at work on my desk. Yesterday I wasn't happy with Sophie's crazy hair so after her bath last night right before bed I pulled out the scissors and started cutting. I cut more off than I was planning on but I am so happy with how cute it is on her. I love her curls - and it makes her hair more forgiving since I'm in no way a hair stylist. I added a few more curls with the curling iron today but she didn't really need it. (I didn't have time to get a picture of all 4 kids together because we were way rushed this morning)

p.s. I love that the girls have on their backpacks. I took Sophie to the school before it started to get her picture taken and both girls put on their backpacks just because they love them.

**A few funny things about their pictures.
- Luke has a dead tooth (he hit it hard on the wood floor when wrestling with Tayson)
- Todd fixed Luke's hair with product and the blow dryer and everything but parted it the wrong way so by the time he got to school it was a little crazy
- Sophie was a drool queen so her chin is all wet
- Sophie has a little tear in her eye from her cold not from crying
- If you look close you can see a bruise on Sophie's forehead from her major bonk on Tayson's bed 2 days before pictures

School Pictures
This week was school picture day. I like to take in my non-school age kids to the school so I have matching portraits with the same background on my wall. I go before school starts so I can hurry to work afterward. I was sure pictures were on Tuesday so I rushed home from spin class, jumped in the shower, made all 4 kids shower and put on their new picture outfits. On our way to school I was commenting on how not dressed up the other kids were and the closer we got the more I questioned if it was really picture day. It wasn't! Tayson saw us drive up and said he didn't want to wear his "fancy shirt" to school since it wasn't picture day so he jumped in the minivan and we hurried home to grab him a t-shirt. He made it back to school with 1 minute to spare.
Then on Wednesday we started the whole process over again and thank goodness it really was picture day this time. Luke wore the same shirt to school 2 days in a row but other than that there were no issues other than the extra stress I caused to everyone's morning on Tuesday.
Here are a couple of quick shots of the girls (who wouldn't behave for a cute picture) in their new outfits.

I don't want to brag...but could he be any cuter?Claire
This little princess is just so dang cute. She is doing one of her famous smirks where one eye is bigger than the other and she has a little crooked smile. I love it!

OK really she looks ridiculous in this picture. She has spit up on the side of her mouth, she isn't holding her head up or looking at the camera. Oh well - she's 3 months old what more can I expect.

Flashback Friday
Senior year 1990. Need I say more? I've put in all three outfit changes too just for even more laughs.

The serious look with sweet MC Hammer pants and nice big hair.

Check out the bracelets, swatch watch, shoulder pads, crazy earrings, and the sweet CTR ring on my pinkie finger (yep the green one)and it's not pictured but I had on sweet acid wash Guess Jeans with the zippers at the bottom.

And of course the dressy picture. The best part about this picture is that once again I'm wearing hand-me-downs as you can see from Sherry's senior picture below. The best part is that at my Grandpa Schultz's house he had both of our dressy pictures hanging up side by side.

Sherry's senior picture 1988.

Flashback Friday
My 5th Grade school picture. Talk about a perm gone bad! I obviously didn't know how to fix my hair and my mom stopped trying to fix my hair for me at this point in life. I do remember that I wanted to pull my hair back so I could show off my brand new pierced ears. I have horrible teeth and tons of freckles too.
But the best part of this picture is the fact that I am wearing hand-me downs. I wore them my entire life being the second girl and exactly 2 years apart made the situation perfect. Here is proof that I have on hand-me-downs....Sherry's 6th grade school picture.

Flashback Friday
This is my 4th grade school picture (1981). I have the ugly buck teeth of course and lots and lots of freckles. We didn't ever use sunscreen growing up. I remember my mom fixing my hair that day with her fancy comb blow dryer - who needs a round brush and a blow dryer when you can combine them into one fancy contraption?
