Here are a few comments I have heard recently about being prego:
- You look like you're ready to pop!
- Wow! I can't believe you haven't had that baby yet. I thought you were due a month ago.
- You just look so tired and uncomfortable.
- When are you due again?
- So how ya doin? Just gettin' fat, fat, fat?
- Were you this big with all your pregnancies?
- You about to throw that calf? (this is one of my favorites and I request it to be said each pregnancy now because it cracks me up)
- Mommy, what are all those lines on your belly? (Luke asking about my stretch marks most of which came from him)
- Do you have 2 babies in there? (my sweet little neighbor asked me this one in pure innocence...it was so cute)
- Mom it's just because you have such a big belly...I was going to say fat belly but I thought big sounded better (Tayson said this in response to me telling Todd about the 2 baby comment)
- There are also numerous nice things said to me...but they aren't as funny!
Luckily, I know all of this will end soon and I will be back to my normal self in no time. I just had to document this moment in my pregnancy to keep a smile on my face. No reason to be offended by people at this point. I'm big and that's just the way it is. :)

Uggghh! I loathe when people ask those questions or say those things. I had one woman from the dear old W1 Ward tell me that I was so much bigger than her DIL and she was due 2 months before me. I just want to know why it is always women that feel the need to say something. Did they like it when other women said things like that to them when they were pregnant? I think not! LOL My friend did a whole blog post once about advice to remember when you aren't the one that isn't pregnant and #5 was always my favorite, so I'll share:
5) Likewise, no women wants to hear comments on her weight- ever. A pregnant woman does not find it flattering that you think she is about is about to pop, must be having twins, looks swollen or has gained weight in her face. Telling her she looks too small only makes her worry that she is somehow starving her baby. Making such comments invites her to critique your physical appearance and you may not act offended. The only acceptable comment on appearance is "You look fabulous!".
So, Kathy, I think you look fabulous, you are the most fit pregnant mama I know, and here's to a healthy #4!!!!
I think you are a totally cute pregnant girl. You look great to me, can't wait to see that cute baby, and find out what it is. :)
You gotta love the pregnancy comments. Not being in Utah usually I just get really weird looks since we've surpassed the two-kid limit! I think you look great! Liam watched a home video of me pregnant with Eden and said, "Mom, you were SO FAT!" Hope all goes well! - Kristine
Be proud Kathy. Be proud.
You look great to me.
Hang in there my friend! Your amazing. This baby will be here in no time. Keep a'goin!
All I want to do is rub your tummy. Now that I'm done and don't get to ever feel life inside of me again, I miss it, so I'm comin' over to rub your tummy some more!
