This girl is so funny at bedtime. She is very picky about which pj's she'll wear. Only she can pick them out. She has to have her lamp on all night. She tells us she sees "scary movies in her eyes" if her light is off. She has to have her silky pillowcase and her silky blanket (silks for short). She sleeps with random toys and books, she likes to have her door locked (from the outside), she goes to bed without a fight at 8:30 and falls asleep around 10:00.She came in my room last night and the following conversation took place:
Claire: I need to cuddle
Me: Get one of your dolls or stuffed animals
Claire: Paige doesn't have clothes on
Todd: Who's Paige?
Claire: ignores Todd
Me: OK sweetie you can come cuddle with me (there is plenty of room in the bed between Todd and I)
Claire: I can't dad's in there
Todd: OK I'll leave
Claire: thanks
.....
Claire: Mama, go get my silky pillow
Me: No. If you want it go get it yourself
Claire: I can't go to sleep without it
Me: OK go get it
after a long pause and several dirty looks she went to get it then fell sound asleep in my bed not cuddling.
