After round 2 he was really upset. He was laying on the floor next to the bed and he said "Mom, can you say prayers with me?" I of course obliged. Before we started he said "Mom, make sure you bless that I won't throw up again. I really don't want to." During my prayer I kept thinking of how I could say it to create a loop hole just in case the prayer didn't work and he still threw up. The last thing I wanted was him to think his prayer wasn't answered. How silly of me to think that I needed to give the Lord an out to Tayson's prayer. This morning when he woke up he said "good thing we prayed I didn't throw up again".
As I thought about him I realized that so often I don't put all my faith into my prayers. I think that maybe just maybe it won't happen. I am going to try harder to be more like Tayson and to pray with more intent and to simply believe it will happen.

Oh man, what a bummer! The same thing happened to Parker last week, and after one round of barfing (missing the "barf bucket" and hitting my bed instead), he was totally fine. Thank goodness! Sick kids are never fun.
It is tough when your kids have complete faith, and we don't. I too, get so nervous that the kids prayers won't be answered, but then again, it can be a learning opportunity. Sometimes the answer to a prayer is no. I've gotten that answer many times. :-)
